Today I decided to take a break from sewing and stressing and just have a bit of fun with the kids before the boys head back to school. Luckily I didn't have to look to far to find something to do to keep them happy and occupied. One of the brilliant ladies over on Twitter has a fantastic blog that you just have to check out. Mom Advice is an incredible blog filled with engaging articles, fabulous resources, recipes, product reviews and a forum to meet and chat with other moms. If you are stuck looking for crafty things and easy recipes to do with the kids you need to read Amy's Notebook. She has a contest going on right now for a Flip Ultra. All you have to do is pick a project from the Notebook and blog about it. Since I am trying to take a break and clear my mind, I jumped right in. This morning the kids and I made the Blueberry Crumb Bars found on the July 31st edition of Amy's Notebook. The recipe comes courtesy of Smitten Kitchen and turned out wonderfully. It was super easy and the boys had a blast making it. Here's a few pics of our morning baking.
